I don't think he was much of a hero at the time of this design lol. I spent the game thinking that, but when he started talking about killing Kazuya I was like o.o Then he thing w/ Heihachi "dude you won, leave it be" but i dont think hes bad
Well, Kazuya, is a mean spirited SOB who's death would probably do the world some good, and Heihachi did use him as bait for his evil schemes, but the memory of his mother did stop him.
Of course he's not bad. If he did suddenly turn bad, then he'd just be labeled off as a Kazuya knock off. It wouldn't do him much good. The whole dark hero role he had in 3-5 suited him more than his role in 6.
No not a knockoff remember the Scenario Campaign intro "power is everything"? They're just saying history repeats itself. Jin's role was to go from good to bad to begin with(Harada stated that was his plan for the past 10 years), so even though hes Kaz's replacement(which really was his original purpose) hes not a "knockoff" persay. That's why Jin's son will unintentionally do the same thing(or maybe im just fanboying
oh, you read Harada's tweet!then plz let me add his comment only in jap, 1)he was going to Jin turn evil in tekken3 ending already, but couldn't caused by the lengh of movie 2)not like father like son or replacement of kazuya, harada wanted to make him the evil existence "that makes Heihachi and kazuya shudder" 3)harada sees heihachi as most evil one as a human, and he wanted/still wants to make jin his counter, "most evil one as an inhuman"
and though this is no more than my idea, Jin is the icon of the youth in mishima family, so he'll never mary or have son.
wow i did not hear of these tweets. what i did hear of was that the main reason for booting so many characters in T3 was due to the fact that they werent popular, so if Harada is saying both things then he is contradicting himself. Also Kazuya used to be the posterboy for Tekken; even after his death, they decided to make him the center of attention in the 1st "best of" Tekken game [link] . Even though Jin was the central idea back then, when Kaz returned it was all about him, and yet think about the fact that back then they decided to kill him off So you know being that center of attention doesnt have to last forever, but i dont expect Jin to get married(Kazuya didn't) I AM expecting more bloodline rebellion
according her tweets, it's from the japanese title of "The Speed of Dark" by Elizabeth Moon. "Kurayami no hayasa ha donokurai" i felt that it's rather near to "do you know the speed of darkness?"
unfortunately i've not read that book, however after reading the episode of Ms. Moon and her son who really said this phrase, i thought that there might be the suggestion "darkness may be faster than light even if the light chases after."
